Birth Name: Julia Elizabeth Scarlett Louis-Dreyfus Height: 5' 2½" (1.59 m) Julia is the daughter of Gerard Louis-Dreyfus, a French billionaire. Julia performed improv with Chicago's Second City and the Practical Theatre Company, started by her husband, Brad Hall. Julia met her husband, Brad Hall, while both were attending Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois). She graduated in 1982. They both worked in the series "Saturday Night Live" from 1982-85. They have two sons Henry (b. 1992) and Charles (b. 1997). In 1986, she made her feature movie debut in the Woody Allen film "Hannah and Her Sisters." Subsequent features include "Soul Man", "Christmas Vacation", "Father's Day," "A Bug's Life," "Animal Farm," and the TV movie "Geppetto." Julia guested on several regular series such as "Family Ties", "Dinosaurs", "Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist," and "The Simpsons." In 1998, she was chosen by People Magazine as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world. Her character on "Seinfeld", Elaine Benes, did not appear in the original pilot. She was the first female regular to host "Saturday Night Live" not just once, but twice. It was reported that another regular, Gilda Radner, was going to host in 1988, but due to the WGA writer's strike, the show was scrapped; Radner died of ovarian cancer in 1989. In 1988-89, she co-starred in her second series, "Day by Day" on NNC, as Eileen Swift. In 1990-98, she starred in her third series, "Seinfeld" on NBC, playing Elaine Benes. In 2002-03. she starred in her fourth series, "Watching Ellie" on NBC, playing Eleanor 'Ellie' Riggs. In 2004-05, she guested in four episodes of "Arrested Development" on Fox as Maggie Lizer. In 2006, she was chosen by Forbes magazine as one of the 10 Hottest Billionaire Heiresses. Also in 2006, she starred in her fifth series, "The New Adventures of Old Christine" on CBS, playing Christine Campbell. Over the course of her career as of 2007, she's won a Golden Globe, and another 14 wins & 21 nominations.
