Wolfie Changes EddieValerie and Eddie have ups and downs as have had any couple in a serious long-term relationship, and although Eddie was trying to put drinking behind him, there were relapses.Eddie states that's its very well known he used to drink a lot and party a lot (so did Larry Hagman, but the editor can't recall any time the tabloids constantly ragged on Larry Hagman's alcohol deal). Ed says that when Wolfie was a year and a half old, Ed pulled in an all-nighter and stumbled in at 8:30 in the morning and Wolfie looked at him and went "daddy, what's wrong?", and Eddie just went it hit him like a brick wall. A one and half year old kid knowing, but now Ed's an alcoholic and he can't drink. Eddie gave up the bottle in 1995 after a time in rehab. Several facts were taken off the Lifetime "Intimate Portrait" of Valerie Bertinelli with added facts from "The Complete Directory To Prime Time Network Shows" by Tim Brooks. |
