A bunch of stuff related to this former star of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
1. Sarah was named #45 on TV Land's Top 100 Greatst TV Icons of All Time list. The TV Land special airs tonight at 8pm Pacific on the cable channel. 2. A novelty fictional rap song about Sarah is making the rounds on the Mad Music Dementia Top 20 Show. In fact, the song "Buffy the Vampire Teller Slayer" is one of two vampire songs on the chart. The other is from Veronique "Weird Val" Chavalier called "Vampire Surprise." Can Buffy slay that song from the MMDT20 chart, or will she need the help of the Scoobies to ward off the threat by "Weird Val?" A warning. There's no telling what Willow or Spike would do to defend Buffy here. 3. According to Zap2It.com, Sarah has changed her signature three-part name to Sarah Michelle Prize. "She has taken her husband Freddie Prinze Jr.'s last name in a romantic gesture for their fifth wedding anniversary," reports Maxim magazine. The former Gellar and Prinze met while filming 1997 horror film "I Know What You Did Last Summer," but didn't begin dating till three years later. They married in Mexico on September 1, 2002. Her name will be the only change to her married life for now. 4. In a related story, Sarah appears on the cover of the December 2007 issue of "Maxim" magazine, which dubbed her "Maxim's 2008 Woman of the Year!" This despite the fact that she's been keeping a low profile for most of the year, unlike a certain cluster of actresses who haven't been doing anything career wise except make headlines by getting into trouble. Not Sarah. You can preview her pictures here: http://www.maximonline.com/SarahMichelleGellar/girls_of_maxim/563.aspx Coming within months, Sarah invades multiplexes with three flicks: "The Air I Breathe," "Possession," and "Southland Tales," in which she plays a pop star, a lawyer, and a porn star, respectively. This past year, she was also in "Suburban Girl", "TMNT", and "Happily N'Ever After." Her film resume also includes "Scream 2," "Cruel Intentions," "The Grudge," "The Scooby Doo" films, "Simply Irresistable", and "I Know What You Did Last Summer." She's also a sometime voicist on the Adult Swim animation spooffest "Robot Chicken." Her TV resume also includes guest stints on "The Simpsons," four stints on "Saturday Night Live" (three as host), "Sex and the City", "King of the Hill," a nearly three year stint on the soap "All My Children" where she played Kendall Hart, and her first starring role on "Swans Crossing." In awards, she was nominated for and won numerous awards. She was nominated for the Saturn Award seven times from 1998-2004 for her role on "Buffy" and won in 1999. She also won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Leading Actress in 1995 for All My Children and was also nominated for that award in 1994. She won four Teen Choice Awards for "Buffy" and won an "Extraordinary Achievement Award" in 2001 for that awards show. She was nominated for "Young Artist Award" for performances in all three of the TV series she was a regular in from 1993-1999.
