Mary Gross attended Madonna High School in Chicago. Also there, she was an alumna of the Second City comedy troupe.

Well-trained in the exacting school of improvisational comedy, Mary Gross was a regular on "Saturday Night Live" from 1981 to 1985.

She is the sister of Michael Gross, famous for his starring role in the series "Family Ties."

Mary's trademark is her soft, treacly voice.
